At first we had a difficult time finding Sputnik's crash site, but we met two wonderful Manitowoc natives who showed us where it was. It was in the middle of a busy one-way street, and in order for them to take our picture, we had to run through traffic, squat at the spot, point, and smile. Then the couple told us more about the Sputnik crash and how the local museum has a replica of the chunk that landed.
It was definitely the best experience of our lives!
